Featured Destinations by Mahalo Airlines 

SANTA CATALINA, Aug 10, 2014 -  Mahalo Airlines, a division of Mahalo Travel Adventures, has launched a new service called Featured Destinations.  Each month Mahalo will highlight one of it's travel Destinations with several scheduled flights originating from Hollywood Airport (Mahalo's hub).

"Our specialty is flying passengers to Destinations that offer more than just an airport."  says Melisa McAndrews, President of Mahalo Travel Adventures.  "We want to take people places that have fun and interesting things to do. 

So each month we will choose one of these Destinations, promote it on our blog, in the SL Aviation group and the Passengers of SL group.  We will schedule several flights a month to the Featured Destination and post the flight schedule on our Flights, Tours and Excursions Calendar page which feeds the flight schedule board at our ticket counter at Hollywood Airport."

August 2014 Featured Destination

The first Featured Destination is Gee's Island, located to the Northwest of the Blake Sea.  Gee's Island serves primarily helicopter and seaplane enthusiasts as well as anyone looking for a place to relax, play and shop.

There are several demo vendors where you can rez a vehicle to play with including helicopters, hang gliders, sailboats, sailboards, power tubes and more.  If you're into SCUBA diving or snorkeling, there's a Small Fish Adventure area that also has a submarine to use.

When you get hungry, stop by one of the many food vendors for a quick snack (all food is animated).  There are also gaming tables, two spots to just sit and chill and several shops scattered around the island.

Mahalo Airlines will be highlighting more Featured Destinations in the coming months.  Watch this space for more information, especially about the upcoming opening of the Juneau Airport in the new Blake Passage area.

Mahalo Airlines Takes Off  

SANTA CATALINA, Jan 31, 2014 - Mahalo Travel Adventures has launched the first in a series of travel related services today with the opening of Mahalo Airlines.  Based at Santa Catalina's Hollywood Airport, Mahalo Airlines is the premier air travel service for the discerning traveler.

"Although we will fly our passengers to any airport within range, we prefer to provide our guests with Travel Destinations that have more to offer than just an airport." said Capt. Melisa McAndrews St. John, President and CEO of Mahalo Travel Adventures.

"For example, New Horizons airport is a great Destination for driving enthusiasts because it has direct access to Rout 8 on the mainland highway system.  Second Norway offers a large estate with fantastic shopping, dining and sailing venues as well as a racing track."

Major airports aren't Mahalo Airlines' only Destinations.  Mahalo is possibly the only airline with regular flights to Destinations such as the SS Galaxy cruise ship, New England, Snug Harbor and Sailor's Cove.

Another Mahalo service is a tour of 17th century themed Blake Sims, that area just across the Blake Channel from Hollywood Airport.  Flying in a period airship, tourists are taken back to the time of high seas adventures on the Spanish Main.

Pirate held islands, ships of the Royal Navy, flotsam Township and even a headhunter or two are just some of the sights to see in this aerial tour.  The tour ends in the courtyard of Port Diego where visitors can outfit themselves in period garb and weapons and even purchase their own sailing vessel.

Scheduled flights are listed on the flight board at the Mahalo Airlines ticket counter inside the Hollywood Airport main terminal.  All scheduled flights are free of charge.  Coming soon will be the ability for travelers to book a private flight, tour or excursion for a small fee.

Mahalo Airlines will kick off with their inaugural flight on Saturday, February 1 at 2:00 PM SLT.
